NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT an application by Darrell & Shannon Wilson, Nathan & Kelly Wilson, Jimmie & Carlon Ashabraner, and North Arkansas Medical Services for a rezoning has been filed with the City of Harrison Planning Commission wherein the request is made to change the zone classification of three properties located on Harness Street and Bunker Road and described as: Parcel 825-14491-001. A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section Twenty-Nine (29), Township Nineteen (19) North, Range Twenty (20) West, Boone County, Arkansas, described
as follows: From a 3/8 inch rebar at the Southeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section Twenty-Nine (29), go along the South line, N89 28'18"W 547.08 ft; leaving said South line go N00 36'09"E 990.04 ft to a 3/8 inch rebar, N89 29'09"W 145.90 feet to a two (2) inch iron pipe, Point of Beginning of tract being described; continue N89 29'09"W 202.36 feet to the centerline of Harness Street; go along said centerline N00 31'36"E 335.63 ft to the North line of the Southeast
Quarter of said Southwest Quarter in Bunker Road; then go along said North line S89 29'09"E 202.80 ft; leaving said North line go S00 36'09"W 335.63 ft to the Point of Beginning, subject to the right-of-way of said Harness Street and the right-of-way of said Bunker Road. A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 19 North, Range 20 West, Boone County, Arkansas described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the above described forty, run thence West on South line 667 ft, the North 608.7 ft to the Point of Real Beginning; thence North 240.3 ft, thence West 228.7 ft, thence South 240.3 ft, thence East 228.7 ft to Point of Real Beginning, subject to ease for road along the West 20 feet thereof.
From R-3, Medium Density Residential (current zoning) to C-4, Neighborhood Commercial (proposed zoning) by amendment to the Harrison Zoning Code.
The public hearing will be held May 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Council Chambers inside City Hall located at 118 Industrial Park Road, Harrison, AR. ALL PARTIES IN INTEREST MAY BE HEARD at said time and place or may notify the Planning Commission by letter of their views on this matter. THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT is on file for public inspection and comment at the Public Works Department located at 303 N. Third Street, Harrison, AR.
