Service: 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Holt Memorial Chapel, with burial at Maplewood Cemetery.

Odalene “Lee” Carr passed away Friday, Dec. 20 (2013) at her home in Harrison after a long battle with kidney cancer.

A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Holt Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Robert Shaddox officiated.

Private family interment was in Maplewood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, Clayton Carr, Sarah Carr and Christian Munzner.

Lee was predeceased by her parents, Oden and Kathreen Fancher; a brother, Paul Fancher; and an infant sister, all of Berryville; as well as her husband and partner, David Carr of Harrison.

Lee graduated from Berryville High School in 1951 and studied at Arkansas Tech for three years. She worked in the cattle and real estate business with her husband.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She loved animals and was a savior to the many barn-cats and strays that came to the farm over the years.

She enjoyed playing golf with her friends. She also tended a beautiful flower garden and was a gifted painter. She mainly painted cherished portraits of family members and other loved ones.

Lee had a lifetime communion with Christ through the First Christian Church in Berryville and Harrison. She joined in matrimony to her husband, David Carr, in 1957. To this union three children were born.

Odalene is survived by her loving children, Matt and Mary Ann Carr of Harrison, Paul Carr of Little Rock, and Amy and Stephen Carr-Plaster of Lebanon, Mo.; her grandchildren, Clayton Carr and Sarah Carr of Harrison, and Christian Munzner of Lebanon, Mo., and her dog, Josey.

It was her wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ozark Humane Society, 5147 Rock Springs Road, Harrison, AR 72601.
