Anna Lee Wright Kidwell, age 70, of Warren, passed away Thursday May 28 (2015) at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Alpena, a daughter of the late Orville Wright Sr. and Ethelyn Still Wright. She married her high school sweetheart, John Howe Kidwell, on May 19, 1962.

She was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church of  Warren. Anna was a loving mother and grandmother with an amazing God given ability to love all children as her own. After raising five of her children and one child still at home, she attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and graduated in 1996 at age 52, Magna Cum Laude. She spent her lifetime investing in children and advocating for the rights and welfare of children and adolescents. She had a strong calling to serve others in need, whether as a DHS Family Service Worker, Youth Director of First United Methodist Church, Foster Parent, Soup Kitchen Volunteer, Human Development Center Client Advocate, and volunteer at Children’s Mental Health Organization. She was a living testament to how one should love unconditionally.

Anna valued all of God’s creations. She found great joy in gardening, birds, deer, cats, rescuing animals, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was infamous for her Saturday pinto beans and cornbread. Momma said her greatest treasure was her family. She loved her family and her Church family.

Survivors are her husband, John Howe Kidwell; two sons, John Kidwell II and wife, Angie, of Warren, and Tony Kidwell and wife, Brandy, of Searcy; five daughters, Kelly Rowell and husband Stewart, Kerry Gambill and husband Gary, Kandy Burt, Robin Pifer and husband Trey, all of Warren, and Mary Laura, of Conway; one brother, Orville Wright, of Berryville; four sisters, Beth Bradford, of Compton, Mary Thompson, of Green Forest, Beck Grim, of Emmett, Idaho, and Kathy Wright, of Alpena; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
