Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Harrison, with interment at Maplewood Cemetery; Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the church.

Bobby Ray Turney, age 76, of Harrison, passed from this life to eternal life on Saturday, Aug. 1 (2015) at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri. 

He was born Oct. 5, 1938, in Everton, to Ray and Zella (Stovall) Turney. 

Bob was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church. After spending his school years in Alpena, he served in the United States Air Force and returned to Harrison from Madrid, Spain, with his wife Petra in 1961. They celebrated 54 years together. Before his retirement, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 34 years. He was a member of the American Legion. He had the ability to make anyone laugh with his jokes. His wry sense of humor and caring nature will be forever missed by his family and many friends. 

We will always love and miss him.

Bob is survived by his wife, his mother, his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Greg Siemiller, of Harrison; three grandchildren, Hannah Morrison, Tripp Siemiller and Mahala Siemiller. He is also survived by two sisters and brother-in-law, Billie Denny, of Springfield, Missouri, and Patsy and Mel Joyner, of Carrollton, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, in Harrison, with the Rev. Mark Donald and the Rev. Dave Smith officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
