Cleda Naomi (Clayton) Megee, 89, Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7 (2015) at home, surrounded by family.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Charter Funerals-Kansas Chapel, Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Cleda was born June 20, 1926, in Salesville, Montana, (now Gallatin Gateway, Montana) to Clem and Effie Clayton. As a child she attended the historic Little Bear Creek schoolhouse outside Salesville, Montana. She moved to Harrisonville, Arkansas in 1949. Since 1954, she has lived in the Kansas City, Kansas and Leavenworth, Kansas area.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Howard; nine children; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
