Coy Lee Ford, 70, of Compton, died Friday, April 8 (2011) at Harrison.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Leo Dye and Brother Tollie Sutterfield officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the funeral chapel.
The son of Evan and Louise Parker Ford was born Jan. 12, 1941, at Compton. Mr. Ford enjoyed collecting model cars and hunting and fishing. He loved preaching the Gospel and spending time with his grandchildren. Coy was a member of the Grubb Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Nancy Estep; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Youngblood; daughters, Melissa Dixon, Katy Ford, Cindy Conklin, Melinda Myers, Lottie Eisenhart and LouAnn Richardson; sons, Rick Ford and Earl Ford; sisters, Dorothy Kimball and Carolyn Royce; brothers, Daniel Ford, David Ford and Rodney Ford; grandchildren, Alan, Hannah, Garrett, Abigail, Joseph, Calvin, Keely, Lane, Afton, David, Lura, Jay, Shawn, J.D., Clerissa, Timmy, Justin, Shylinda and Maegan; and 18 great-grandchildren.
