Delois Jane Stephenson, age 77 of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday, April 12 (2011).
The daughter of Efton Mack Sisco and Elizabeth (Carter) Sisco was born Nov. 26, 1933, at Osage. She was of Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonzo Stephenson, her granddaughter, Greta Johnson; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Johnson and wife Lynn of Goshen, Jerry Johnson and wife Vickie of Huntsville and David Johnson and wife Robin of Alpena; daughters, Brenda Holt and James Wallis of Lead Hill and Peggy Ferguson and husband Kenneth of Huntsville; stepdaughter, Pauline Ledbetter of Huntsville; sisters, Joyce Fletcher of Lowell and Jessie Taylor of California; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday April 15, at Coffman Funeral Home, Harrison. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Plumlee Cemetery, with Edward Ledbetter officiating. Family members will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of the Hills and Washington Regional Hospital.
