Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Mt. Judea Church of Christ, with burial at Dodson Cemetery; Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Holt Memorial Chapel.

Donna Dodson, of Mt. Judea, passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 10 (2017). She was 67 years old.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 at Holt Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Mt. Judea Church of Christ. Mike Toland and Roger Greenhaw will officiate. Burial will be in the Dodson Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dale Tennison, Ronnie Campbell, Shannon Campbell, Randy Richardson, Steven Martin, and Jeff Hill.

The daughter of Jack and Lois (Christian) McCutcheon was born July 26, 1950 in Harrison.

In Donna’s early years she helped with her family’s business, the McCutcheon Chair Factory and later worked for Levi Strauss.

Donna, a faithful Christian, was a member of the Mt. Judea Church of Christ and had an active role with the church’s youth. She loved her church family and especially loved her own family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Donna and her husband, David, supported several Christian children’s homes. Donna enjoyed being a part of the Newton County Historical Society and enjoyed researching her genealogy. Donna was also a member of the Mt. Judea Area Alliance. She also enjoyed working at the Bradley House Museum, in Jasper. Donna was the caretaker and treasurer of the Dodson and Ben’s Branch cemeteries. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to ballgames.

Her parents; an infant child; one sister, Carolyn Sue McCutcheon; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ira and Gladys Dodson; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rita and Don Smith preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, David Dodson; two sons and their wives, Jason and Amy Dodson and Rocky and Amanda Dodson; four grandchildren, Tyler, Mya, Grant, and Marleigh Dodson; one brother and his wife, Carl and Suzy McCutcheon; one sister and her husband, Bonnie and Mack Cook; one brother-in-law and his wife, James and Elva May Dodson; her dog, Duke; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newton County Historical Society or the Bradley House Museum, P.O. Box 360, Jasper, AR 72641 or to a Christian Children’s Home of your choice.
