Private family graveside service was held Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Keesee Cemetery; arrangements with Holt Memorial Chapel.

Dorm Ray Saylors, of Harrison, died Sunday, Oct. 15 (2017) at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. He was 80 years old.

The son of Champ and Emma (Rose) Saylors was born Aug. 3, 1937 at Monarch.

Dorm was the longtime division chairman of the Math and Science Department and the athletics director at North Arkansas College. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports activities, playing golf, and working on his antique cars.

His parents and one brother-in-law, Joe O’Neal preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Kay (Godfrey) Saylors; one son and his wife, Kerry and Rose Saylors; two daughters, Kim Saylors-Laster and her husband, Mark Laster, and Erin and her husband, Aaron Hall; one niece, Stephanie and her husband, Steven Cecil; one sister, Billie O’Neal and her daughter, Patty O’Neal; six grandchildren, Jade Marie Saylors, Kaylee Ann Laster, Brian Hurley Hall, Halley Alaine Laster, Champ Ryan Saylors, and Emma Ruth Hall; two grandnieces, Caroline Hope Cecil and Claire Beth Cecil; one grandnephew, Cole Joseph Cecil; and many other friends and family members.

There was a private family graveside service held Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Keesee Cemetery. Howard Gene Saylors officiated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northark Foundation, for the Dorm Saylors Hall of Fame, 1904 Capps Road, Harrison, AR 72601.
