Douglas Byron Scott, 64, of Lead Hill, passed away Friday, Feb. 9 (2018).

The son of the late Glendon and Beatrice Scott of Lead Hill was born April 16, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan.

Douglas was an independent paper carrier for the Harrison Daily Times and the Arkansas Democrat. He liked to attend local auctions, work on vehicles and would lend a hand to those in need around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Scott.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Scott of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Heather Scott of Omaha; four brothers, Glen Leroy Scott, Andy Scott, and Thomas Scott and wife, Becky, all of Lansing, Michigan, and Byron Scott and wife, Renee of Lead Hill; two sisters, Tammy Nash of Lansing, Michigan, and Sandra Morrow and husband, Gary of Lead Hill; ex wife, Freida Forman; and son, Joseph Forman; four grandchildren, Amber Milsap, Sonny Chung, Tessa Novak, and Alec Novak; and several nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by his co-workers, his customers and many friends.

Services for Douglas Scott are pending and will be announced at a later time.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison.
