Emoline Tennison Chisum

Service: 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Lurton Assembly of God, with burial at Cowell Cemetery; Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Holt Memorial Chapel.

Emoline Tennison Chisum, of Pelsor, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 28 (2016). She was 83 years old. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Holt Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Lurton Assembly of God. Pastor Stanley Taylor and the Rev. Leonard Bob Chisum will officiate. Burial will be at Cowell Cemetery. Pallbearers include her grandsons, Chas Martin, Clint Martin, Michael Paul Tennison, Tracy Crow, Kelse Tennison, Dustin Race and Seth Race. 

The daughter of John Samuel and Mary Jane (Hampton) Wheeler was born on June 11, 1932, at Chancel (Hurricane Creek).

Emoline was a member of the Lurton Assembly of God Church. God came first to Emoline followed closely by her family. She loved cooking for her family but especially enjoyed the time spent with them. Emoline also enjoyed her flowers. She retired from ConAgra in Russellville after 26 years. 

Her parents; first husband, Felix Tennison; second husband, Lester Chisum; two sisters; nine brothers; one great-grandson, Felix Fregoso; and son-in-law, J.D. Martin, preceded her in death. 

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Michael “Ardell” and Mary Tennison, of Dover, Doyle and Susie Tennison and Teddy and Melissa Tennison, all of Pelsor; two daughters, Kathy Martin, of Deer, and Diane Race and her husband, Jackie, of Russellville; 15 grandchildren, Chas Martin, Clint Martin, Tracy Crow, LaDonna Snider, Latricia Grijalva, Michael Paul Tennison, Taleigha Tennison, Camren Tennison, Tomas Tennison, Tina Tennison, Kelse Tennison, Dustin Race, Seth Race, Kayla Abrams and Kendria Tennison; 20 great-grandchildren with another one on the way; one brother and his wife, Raymond and Viola Wheeler, of Dover; one sister-in-law, Trilla Mae Wheeler, of Atkins; three stepsons; four stepdaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
