Francis E. Seeley, age 85, of Lead Hill, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2 (2016) at his home.

Mr. Seeley was born April 29, 1930, in Lawrence, Kansas, to the late William Eugene and Ruth Ann (Taylor) Seeley.

Francis was always known as a hard worker. He spent all of his time working cattle and on old tractors, except when deer season came around and he was gone to the woods in search of “the Big Buck.” He was a good shot and brought plenty of meat home.

Francis was a proud veteran of the Korean War and would talk for hours of his time in service. He loved Lead Hill, the Saddle Club, and all that came with living here. Bluegrass music always made his spirit come alive, with the Burleson Family playing their tunes.

Snooks, you were like a sister to him.
