Graveside service was held Monday, Feb. 17, at Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., Magnolia.

Joeline Alsup Nason, 74, of Magnolia, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14 (2014) at the Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches, Texas.

She was born on Nov. 18, 1939, in Boone County, to the late Earl Vernon Alsup and Fauline (Shaffer) Alsup Tippett. She graduated from Harrison High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church-Magnolia where she was active with her Sunday school class. She worked alongside her husband Bob at Bob Nason Insurance Company for many years, was an avid reader, loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Robert O. “Bob” Nason Jr.; a brother, Alfred “Al” Alsup; sister-in-law, Penny Jones and her husband, Dennis; and mother-in-law, Zell Nason.  

Joeline is survived by her daughters, Dr. Stacy Hendricks and her husband, Dr. John Allen Hendricks, and their children, Abby and Haydyn, all of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Dr. Leslie Nason, of Colleyville, Texas, and her daughter, Taryn Iden, of Fayetteville; father-in-law, Robert O. Nason Sr., of Bunkie, La.; brothers-in-law, Dr. Steve Nason and wife, Nancy, of Ville Platte, La., David Nason and wife, Jan, of Pickerington, Ohio, and Dr. Mark Nason and wife, Darlene, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and a host of nieces and nephews and special friends.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Kelso officiating, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family was from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or First United Methodist Church in Magnolia.
