Gathering of Remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Osage Assembly of God Church, with arrangements by Nelson Funeral Service.

John Arthur Tattershall, of Alpena, was born Aug. 17, 1939, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to Willard and Gladys (Smith) Tattershall. He departed this life Saturday, Feb. 2 (2019) in Alpena, at the age of 79.

John attended the Osage Assembly of God Church. He was a proud member of the National Guard and the Cherokee Gourd Society of Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to garden.

On Nov. 22, 1977, he was united in marriage with Andrea Robette (Lowther) Tattershall who survives him of the home. 

He is also survived by his two daughters, Toni Robb and husband, Randy, of Green Forest, and April Turner and husband, Dawayne, of Lead Hill; two sons, Richard Tattershall and Jeff Tattershall, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Dixie Stafford and husband, Dean, of Bixby, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Brandon Turner, James Turner, Misty Plumlee and husband Daryl, and John Tallent and wife Ginger; seven grandchildren in Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Jeff Plumlee, Dallyn Turner, Destiny Turner and Emily Turner; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Gladys Tattershall; one sister, Margie Tattershall; and two brothers, Willard and Jim Tattershall.

Gathering of Remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Osage Assembly of God Church, with Brother Saffell officiating. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
