Service: Gathering of Remembrance from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Nelson Memorial Chapel, Berryville.

Lana Jean Booth, a resident of Berryville, was born April 7, 1944, in Point Lookout, Mo., a daughter of Elmer Bruce and Elsie Nadine (Dodgen) Huffstutter. She departed this life Sunday, Jan. 19 (2014) in Berryville, at the age of 69 years.

She worked for the United States Postal Service for 22 years and retired as the Postmaster in St. Joe. She was an active member of NAPUS, a postmaster’s organization. She enjoyed coin and stamp collecting, spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Kelly Bolinger, of Berryville, and Luana Mathis and husband, Steve, of Harrison, and their father, Dale Booth of Berryville; two sisters, Nancy Short, of Liberal, Mo., and Karen Myers, of Liberal, Mo.; grandchildren, Britteny Kyle, Bryar Bolinger, Dalton Bolinger, Haley Bolinger, Larry Coatney, and Karen O’Dell; great-grandchildren, Anna Kyle, Xander Carrell, Ella Coatney, Easton Coatney, Evan Coatney, and Aiden O’Dell; and several other close relatives and family members, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Bruce and Nadine Huffstutter.

Gathering of Remembrance with family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel, Berryville. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
