Posted

Service: 3 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Marshall Assembly of God Church; Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at the church, with arrangements by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home, Marshall.

Leo Williams joined his loving wife, Chloe, and his Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 1 (2015).

He loved Searcy County and all its people. His passion was cattle farming and joining his friends at the coffee shop. Leo was a leader in the community, serving many years on the Marshall School Board, the Marshall City Council, the Searcy County Quorum Court and the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department. He attended the Assembly of God Church and loved the Lord with all his heart.

Leo delighted in his family and will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, his larger-than-life smile, and for having the unique ability to light up any room with his contagious laughter. For kids in Searcy County who grew up when Leo owned the Exxon service station, he will be remembered for giving away lots of free candy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Leo was born to Dewey Williams and Elva (Horton) Williams on Sept. 25, 1929.

Leo was preceded in death by his mother and father; wife, Chloe (Garrison) Williams; brother, Joe Williams; and sister, Ruth Vanzandt.

He is survived by his son, David and wife, Jane Williams, of Hollister, Missouri; daughters, Judy and husband, Larry Jolley, of Greenbrier, and Sheila and husband, Wes Sossamon, of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Amber and husband, Marc Tilley, of Greenbrier, Tasha and husband, Andy Taylor, of Little Rock, Dusty and wife, Jenny Jolley, of Conway, Sara and husband, Caleb Horton, of Greenbrier, Chase and wife, Kaylee Sossamon, of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Cosby and husband, Cody Lasley, of Greenbrier; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Logan Tilley, Carter and Avery Reese Horton, Kaden and Emi Sossamon, Norah Chloe Taylor, and Lily Pearl Lasley; brothers, Paul Williams, Tommy Williams, Norman Williams and Timmy Williams; and sister, Linda Pence.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday July 5, at the Marshall Assembly of God Church on Westwood Drive in Marshall.
