Service: Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Yocum Cemetery, with cremation arrangements by Smith Family Funeral Home, Green Forest.

Loland Marlin Bradley, also known as Brad, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24 (2015). 

He was born March 30, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late William Bradley and Dora A. (Dodson) Bradley.

Loland served in the U.S. Navy where he obtained training as an aircraft mechanic. On May 26, 1959, while stationed in San Antonio, Texas, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Alcayde. After 10 years of active duty, Loland retired from the Navy and was employed at McDonald Douglas Aircraft in California. 

For a number of years, he worked full time and attended nurses school part time. He enjoyed his career as a nurse and is remembered as a hard worker and honest man. After moving to the Carroll County area, he worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Berryville. Loland was a devoted husband and proud of his children.

He is survived by his children, Loland Bradley II and wife, Nikki, of Harrison, Mary Mason and husband, Gilbert, of Alpena, Cheryl Hunt and husband, Ron, of Bergman, and Marlene McMurray and husband, Robert, of Green Forest; grandchildren, Heather Davis and husband Brandon, Kyle Bradley and wife Audry, Jesse Layfield and wife Dawna, Robert Carter and wife Brooke, Loland Bradley III, Chrystall Kanyuck, Leilla Kanyuck and Larry Jacob, Tim Criswell and Candi Belefeldt, Ron Phillips and Jade Lea Bradley; brother-in-law, Adrian Alcayde; and 14 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Bradley.

Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Yocum Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Rogers officiating. 

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest.
