Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, with burial at the US National Cemetery in Fort Smith; Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home.

Louise Woolsey Rosson, 85 of Harrison, departed this Earth for her Heavenly home Friday, Sept. 22 (2017) surrounded by her beloved children. Louise was a 1950 Ozark High School graduate and was an accounts manager for Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, receptionist and bookkeeper for VanZandt Realty in Fort Smith, posting clerk for Arkansas Valley Electric Co-op as well as the deputy circuit clerk in Ozark. In addition, she was a notary public for 12 years.

She spent countless hours researching family history which became one of her favorite hobbies. Her greatest love, however, was writing short stories for her three grandsons. In addition, she spent more than 10 years writing the manuscript for her husband’s Marine Corps experience in the Korean War.

She was born May 26, 1932 in Barnes, to Mildred Barham and James Daniel Woolsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Rosson; her parents; her brother, Robert S. Woolsey; and her brother-in-law, Gilbert E. Rosson.

She is survived by her brother, James W. Woolsey and wife Barbara; sisters-in-law, Sue Woolsey and Willa Holmes; her daughter, Roxanne; her son, Brent and wife Kim; her grandsons, Dr. Brent Rosson, Jr. and wife, Hannah, Bryan Rosson, and Brooks Rosson and fiancée Shelby Sheets, and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at 1 p.m. at the US National Cemetery in Fort Smith, alongside her husband, Thomas W. Rosson.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dr. Brent Rosson, Jr., Bryan Rosson, and Brooks Rosson, her nephews, Jim Woolsey, Wes Woolsey, Robert Woolsey, Jr., Dr. Jason Woolsey and her great-nephew, Daniel Woolsey. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Rob Rosson and Tommy Rosson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Arkansas Medical Foundation at NARMC, 620 North Main Street, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
