Margaret Blevins, 85, of Harrison died Friday, April 8 (2011) at the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Hodge and Bro. Ernie Nelson officiating. Family will gather at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Sam Cecil, Jordan Cecil, Bill Hodge, Aaron Hodge, David Blevins and Mark Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be theUkulele Band and her care givers, Melissa, Linda and Jerlene.

The daughter of William Carl and Etta Gamble Officer was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Green Forest. She attended and was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist church, was a member of the ukulele club and enjoyed singing and playing at rest homes and retirement centers for the residents. She was a sales clerk and homemaker.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Blevins; two sons, Ronald D. Blevins and Ralph Blevins Jr.; a brother, Thomas Officer; and two infant sisters.

She is survived by two sisters and brother-in-laws, June and Bill Coker of Harrison and Rose Mary and Charles Hodge of Diamond City; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Vilet Officer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, Loraine Blevins of Cassville, Mo.; two grandsons, David and wife Julie Blevins and their children, Lexi and Zac, of Springfield, Mo., and Mark Blevins of St. Louis, Mo.; along with a host of nephews, nieces and many friends throughout the community.
