Mary Ann Madison Coonts

Memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Carver Cemetery; arrangements are with Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.

Mary Ann (Burdine) Madison Coonts, age 76, of Mt. Judea, passed away on Saturday, May 28 (2016).

The daughter of Earl and Mamie (Eddings) Burdine was born on Feb. 23, 1940, at Mt. Judea.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Earl Vincent "Butch" Madison.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Coonts, of the home; three sons, Bobby Madison and wife Toinette, of Harrison, Joey Madison and wife Karen, of Mt. Judea, and Donnie Madison and wife Juanita, of Jasper; one daughter, Regina Carlton and husband Kirby, of Jasper; one stepson Lee Coonts and wife Ruby, of Piercetown; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family who mourn her passing.

Memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Carver Cemetery with Glen Coonts officiating.

Pallbearers will be her children and honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James Justice and staff and Newton County Nursing Home staff.
