She loved to travel, whether it was with the Senior Center groups or going to see family members. She had two buddies, Lois Elam and Wanda Brown who were ready to go to Branson with her or ready to pitch in and help her work on projects. Carolyn loved flowers and working in her flower beds and was happy to cook for her family on all occasions.

Her family described her as being strong in her faith till her last breath and was a tremendous testimony to everyone she met. She was known as one of the most caring people you would ever meet.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Charlie and wife, Brenda Smith, of Hector and Don and wife, Brenda Smith, of Harrison; one daughter, Joyce and husband, James Green, of Bentonville; her grandchildren, Eric Green, Brian Smith, Charla Perlsen, Randy Green and Brett Smith; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.
