Mary Theresa Kiefer

Service: Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at St. John's Church, Pocahontas, with arrangements by McNabb Funeral Home, Pocanhontas; Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at the church, with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mary Theresa Kiefer, 64, of Harrison passed away Sunday, Aug. 13 (2017) at Evelyn’s Hospice House in Creve Coeur, Missouri. 

She was born July 29, 1953, to parents Robert and Thelma Kiefer. Mary was employed by FedEx Services for the last 18 years and was known for her kindness, beautiful smile and willingness to help. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to cook, enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kiefer; brother, William (Billy) Kiefer; and sister, Virginia Thomas.  

She was a member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church.

She is survived by her mother, Thelma Kiefer, of Pocahontas, and four amazing children, Russell (Amanda) Blount, of Hernando, Mississippi, Brian Blount and Travis Blount, both of Harrison, James (Brittany) Blount, of Layton, Utah. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Zachary and Katelyn Blount, of Hernando, Mississippi, Jacob, Daniel, Matthew, and Jennie Blount of Layton, Utah, and Sofia Blount, of Harrison.

Besides her children and grandchildren, she is survived by brothers, Bobby (Betsy) Kiefer, of Pocahontas, and Richard (Caren) Kiefer, of Springhill, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Bobby Joe Thomas of Eureka Springs; sisters, Betty Winder and Kathy Meridith, of St. Louis, Missouri, Susan (Brian) Yurgil, of Memphis, Tennessee, and Juanita (Greg) Blount, of St. Peter's, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at St. John's Church 4650 Engelberg Road, Pocahontas, with a Rosary being said at 7 p.m.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at St. John's Church.

McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas is in charge of arrangements.
