Service: Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Holt Memorial Chapel, with burial at Mt. Judea Cemetery; Visitation: 1-2 p.m Wednesday, May 23, at Holt Memorial Chapel.

Maxine Eloise Criner, of Lead Hill, died on Thursday, May 17 (2018) at her home. She was 91 years old.

Memorial visitation will be at 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. both on Wednesday, May 23, at Holt Memorial Chapel. Gene Saylors will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Judea Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Criner, Josh Criner, Nathan Criner, Jason Criner, Thanh Ketchum, Larry Dickey, Bill Peerce, Matt Peerce and Craig Peerce.

The daughter of George Washington and Hester Carrie (McCutcheon) Dickey was born on Aug. 31, 1926, at Bass.

Maxine married L.R. Criner on Oct. 21, 1949. She taught school at Bass, Mt. Judea and Lead Hill after attending Arkansas Tech. She enjoyed camping, gardening flowers and vegetables, and spending time with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Gary Criner; and two brothers, Flavil and Jack Dickey.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce and Greg Criner; one daughter, Sandra Criner; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
