Ralph Clay Russell, age 86, went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 17 (2017). Ralph was born in Berryville, on Jan. 16, 1931, to Roy and Francis Russell.
Ralph was the husband of Diane Russell and they shared 28 years together. He served as a member of the Air Crew in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by AT&T for 30 years. Ralph was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church. He was active in the Boone County Republican Party. He had a gospel singing ministry and sang for local nursing homes for many years. Besides singing, Ralph enjoyed photography, biking, and traveling.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Diane; his two daughters, Carol Dearing of Dallas, Texas, and Cathy McCreary of Mesquite, Texas; three step-daughters; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Rev. Arlis Thrasher officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery for a family-only graveside prayer.
