Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Holt Memorial Chapel.

On Tuesday, Nov. 13 (2018) Ronald Calvin Tucker, passed from this mortal coil into the world beyond. He went in his sleep, with the blessings and glad tidings of his loved ones. His wife had the honor to hold him as he went.

In his 80 years, he managed to leave a legacy that will last 80 more. He and his brother Bob created H & C insulation, a thriving business, now run by his two sons. He touched the hearts of adults and children alike, when he moonlighted as Santa Claus for Silver Dollar City. He was a musician, a mason, and a painter. He was an inventor and a scientist. There was nothing he couldn’t create if given five minutes, a spool of wire, and some duct tape.

He was a compassionate and brave Air Force veteran. Ron was a hero in the truest sense of the word. When September 11 devastated a country, he turned off the TV, called his contacts in the insulator’s community, and drove for 36 hours to deliver respirator masks to the workers in the wreckage, all before the sun rose on September 12.

And in the end, there was nothing he wanted more than to be surrounded by his loved ones and for them to know how much he loved them. He was deeply proud of his entire family. Their successes filled him with pride, joy and love.

We are grateful for the time we had. He was loved dearly, admired greatly. He will be strongly remembered and terribly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Tucker; his brother, Bob (Lana); his sisters, Sandra Neff and Dolly Tucker; his three children, Ron Jr Tucker, Raye Ann Tucker (Markeeta) and Randy Tucker (Sheri); and his grandchildren, Matthew Wiseman, Lennon Tucker, Randi Tucker, Kenosha Tucker, Miranda Smith, Craig Tucker and Kia Caravlheira.

He is greeted on the other side by his predeceased grandson, Axel Tucker.

Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Holt Memorial Chapel. We welcome anyone who would like to share in the memories of our beloved patriarch.
