Roy “Allen” Wilson, age 79, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, May 1 (2019) in Springfield, Missouri.

Allen was born Feb. 10, 1940, in Harrison, the son of Renaud and Effie (Eastham) Wilson.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elsa Caroline Wilson, Frances Finney, and Genette Taylor; and his brother, Bobby Wilson.

Allen is survived by his brother, Kenny Wilson and wife Sharon; the mother of his children, Sharon Engeler; his son, Jeff Wilson and wife Becky and their daughter Athena; his son, Chance Wilson and his wife Brigitte and their son Grant and their daughter Jade; the mother of his step-children, Sue Wilson; his step-daughter, Tami Crawford her husband Robert and their son Kendall and their daughter Arielle Tougaw her husband David; his step-son, Mike Brown and his son Tyler; and a host of many other family, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Allen was a true patriot living his entire life in Harrison (Go Goblins!).  Allen proudly worked as a supervisor for Duncan Industries for 36 years until his retirement in 2005.  Allen’s father, Renaud, taught him how to play pool at an early age. Pool quickly became Allen’s true passion, winning or placing in many tournaments and just playing pool with his buddies at Jim’s house (goodbye fellas!).  Allen, we hope there is a pool table in heaven for you!  Allen loved basketball especially watching his children and grandchildren play! An avid Razorback fan (W.P.S.!), he watched all the games.

Most of all, Allen will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather for all the children in his life. Allen spared no expense on family vacations or outings making sure we always had a good time. We have many fond memories of vacations, trips to amusement parks and just going to the creek. Most of all we will miss just spending time hanging out and talking with each other.

We love you Papa Allen!
