Scott G. Love, 46, of Harrison, passed away at his home Sunday morning May 3 (2015).  

He was born in Mexico, Missouri, July 14, 1968, the son of Delores Love, of Harrison, and Loren and Marilyn (Kohl) Love of Vandalia, Missouri. 

He has two children of the home, Ashley and Austin Love. He was married to Kari Roeder from 1992 to 2010. He was engaged to Joni Ramsey, mother of Katelynn and Maddie. Their wedding was planned for June 2015.  

He was a 1986 graduate of Van-Far High School. After graduation, he joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in 29 Palms, California. After the Marines, he attended college at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. He then moved to Harrison, and began working for the Boone County Probation Department. In 1999, he was employed by Delta Airlines as a first officer and then was promoted to captain. He was also a corporate jet pilot, chief pilot and certified flight instructor. After his flight career, he went back to college and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology.  

He enjoyed time spent with his family, golf, hunting and shooting sports. He also loved the beach and being close to the ocean.  

In addition to his children, he is survived by his mother, Delores Love; stepmother, Marilyn Love; one brother, Greg Love, of High Ridge, Missouri; and two sisters, Lorie Uhey and Ellen Roy, of Vandalia, Missouri. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Loren Love.
