Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with private interment at Maplewood Cemetery; Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the funeral home.

Wanda Lucille Cantrell McCutcheon passed away Sunday, Jan. 14 (2018) at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.

Wanda was born at Rally Hill to E.C. Cantrell and Lucille Cartwright Cantrell, and lived in Harrison and Dalhart, Texas, much of her early years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Wanda graduated from Harrison High School in 1946 and was the first Miss Harrison. Wanda, a graduate of North Texas State with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration Degree, worked for Gulf Oil and Shell Oil Companies in Houston.

Following the death of her first husband, James Howard Goatley Jr., Wanda and her daughter Cynthia moved to Harrison in 1963. She married W.H. (“Mac”) McCutchen in 1972. Wanda and Mac traveled frequently, visiting such places as Hawaii, Jamaica, Alaska, and Biloxi, Mississippi, spending most of their time in Woodland Park, Colorado, and Fort Myers Beach, Florida. They were happily married for 46 years.

Wanda’s smile and loving kindness will be remembered by all her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, W.H. McCutcheon; daughter, Cynthia Goatley; sister, Virginia Cantrell Bates; stepbrother, Stephen Lair; nieces, Ginny Beth Brown and Laurel Ann Briggs Aikin; nephew, Wayne McCutcheon; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Roller-Christeson Chapel, officiated by Pastor David Artman. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 10-11 a.m. Internment will be at Maplewood Cemetery and will be private.
