Carl and I returned home Wednesday of last week from our three day trip to Monroe, Louisiana. We attended our International Convention of Faith Ministries Regional Conference.
It was a very good and inspiring conference. We also went on a tour of the home of the gentleman that was the first man to bottle Coca-Cola. He did not make the formula but was first to bottle it. It was originally a fountain drink. The first bottle had a cork like top on it and when the cork was pulled out it would make a “pop” sound. That is where the name soda pop began.
Batavia Assembly of God held it's annual Family Fall Festival Tuesday, Oct. 27. It was a great success and Pastor Phillip and Rachel Collie want to express their appreciation to everyone who worked so hard to make it possible. They would also appreciate the community for their support.
Restoration Life Fellowship held their Pastor Appreciation Day Celebrations last Sunday to honor Pastor Jeanine Wilson and Ricky and Morna Stone. The Clifford and Jackie Riley family worked with the youth and presented a special production for the celebration.
After the services we enjoyed a time of fellowship and food.
