The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in dairy herds in Texas, Kansas, Michigan, Idaho, and New Mexico. Symptoms of the virus in dairy cattle include decreased lactation, low appetite, and thickening of milk. To date, there have been no reported cases of HPAI in livestock within Arkansas. more
LOWELL — Ryan Waters has filed a lawsuit alleging he was fired from J.B. Hunt for being white and opposing the company’s discrimination against white men. Waters was employed as Vice President for People by the company at the time of his termination in January 2023. He has filed the discrimination suit in Washington County Circuit Court through his attorneys Bradley Hull and Michael Graugnard of Hickey & Hull Law Partners of Fort Smith. more
