Arkansas State University-Mountain Home seeks applicants for a Computer Technician. ASUMH seeks qualified applicants for the Computer Technician position. The Computer Support Technician is responsible for a wide range of activities related to computer support such as maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing hardware, and software systems. Resolves hardware or software problems in response to user questions and requests for assistance by diagnosing the source of malfunctions, recommending corrective actions, and/or consulting with appropriate staff or vendor. Installs, configures, upgrades, or replaces microcomputer hardware and software for users. Evaluates and makes recommendations for necessary adjustments to applications to satisfy user requirements. Assists in planning, preparation, and conducting seminars on software, hardware, or other computer related topics. Performs other duties as assigned. Travel locally as well as potential conferences for technology. Minimum qualifications include two-year college degree or equivalent experiencein broad knowledge of a field related to the job such as PC repair, networking, programming, cybersecurity, business administration, etc. plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Compensation includes an annual salary commensurate with background and experience, and a comprehensive benefits and leave package.
