In 1976 Jim got his first newspaper job at the Times-Echo in Eureka Springs, Ark. He has enjoyed running community newspapers ever since. Jim oversees the daily newspaper operations and heads up the advertising department. He and his wife Lisa moved to Harrison in 2015 when Phillips Media bought this newspaper. Jim and Lisa have three grown sons and five grandchildren.
Lynn has worked for the Harrison Daily Times since 2001, and was named managing editor in 2014. Lynn is responsible for keeping the staff on track, coordinating the obituaries and working with special sections of the paper. When she’s not at her desk getting the paper ready, she enjoys spending time with five grandchildren, experimenting with salsa recipes, reading Stephen King novels and listening to 70s music.
James joined the staff of the Harrison Times in 1996 and was named associate editor in 2008. In addition to his duties as associate editor, James covers several beats at the newspaper, including Harrison School District, North Arkansas College, and various Boone County municipalities and school districts. He is also responsible for producing the Harrison Police Log and the Boone County Jail roster. He enjoys spending his free time with his two daughters and grandchildren, and performing as a musician in a variety of venues in Northwest Arkansas.
Jeff Dezort has worked at the newspaper since 1978. He is News Editor for the Newton County Times in Jasper, Ark., as well as being the Harrison Times reporter for Newton County, city of jasper and other communities. He was an associate editor of the Harrison Daily Times and was named editor of the Newton County Times in 2001 a position he held until the two publications consolidated newsrooms in 2016. He continues to cover Newton County as well as special assignments for the Harrison Daily Times. A former Scoutmaster and a parent of an Eagle Scout, Jeff enjoys fishing and the outdoors.
Many enjoy reading the “People” pages in the Harrison Times because they feature the many faces and activities in our community. As lifestyle editor, Terri organizes and edits those pages as well as covering the clubs, events, weddings and social activities in our area. She began working at the Harrison Daily Times in July 2019. In her spare time she enjoys the beautiful waterways of our area and never misses an opportunity to travel to new places.

Donna has worked for the Harrison Daily Times for more than 20 years and also serves as religion editor and promotions coordinator. She covers local area businesses, writes the Preacher’s Wife column for the Faith Page and organizes many of the events sponsored by the newspaper, such as the Men and Women of Distinction, the County Spelling Bee and the Home Health and Garden Show. She also covers the Boone County Airport, North Arkansas Regional Medical and Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys spending time with nine grandchildren, teaching piano lessons and serving the community as a pastor's wife.
Jeff Brasel has been with the Harrison Daily Times since 2001. He serves as the sports editor for the Harrison Times and Newton County Times. Brasel has won more Arkansas Press Association awards than any other daily sports writer in Arkansas. When not covering Heart of the Ozark high school sports, Brasel and his wife Becky enjoy two daughters and three grandsons.
Rodney Beaver joined the Harrison Daily Times as sports reporter in January 2018. He covers all local area sports, including 18 schools and North Arkansas College, as well as writing sports feature stories. He writes a weekly column for the Friday sports section. He also can be seen shooting photos and taking notes on the sidelines at Goblin football games for the Daily Times’ Friday night football feature. Rodney graduated from Bergman High School in 1998 and is currently enrolled at North Arkansas College. His hobbies include floating waterways, hiking and any other outdoor adventure. He currently has three hole-in-ones during his two years of participating in the sport of disc golf.

Since March of 2000 Debbie greets all our customers with a smile. She is works customer service in the front office for the Harrison Times and the Newton County Times. Debbie also handles the classified advertisements and the legal notices for both of these newspapers. She also worked for the newspaper in Stuttgart, AR for a couple of years before making her home in Harrison.

Harrison will always be Lynda’s hometown. She was born and raised here and has worked for the Harrison Times since August of 2019. Lynda handles incoming calls and will take care of your needs in placing classified ads, circulation questions, starts, starts and payments. She also handles the national and ad agency placements and assists the publisher with ad tracking and promotions. She loves the outdoors and motorcycle riding.
Taking care of her customers is what Sheri likes to do. She will be happy to assist you with all your advertising needs or questions about getting your ad online and in the newspaper. She has been with the Harrison Times since 2016, prior to that she owned and operated preschool for seven years, In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her three kids and going horseback riding with the family.
Local advertising is Kari’s specialty. She joined the Harrison Daily Times in 2021. Educated in the Harrison and Valley Springs school systems, she explored the East Coast for fifteen years before the beauty of the Ozarks called her back to her happy roots This is where she finds great personal fulfillment in serving her community again. Kari enjoys creative writing, music production, and keeping her trivia skills sharp.
The design and composition required to build each edition of the Harrison Times is primarily handled by Samantha Harness. She is a graphic artist in the Phillips Media Group Composing Department. Samantha graduated from Harrison High School in 2005 before attending Missouri State University. She has degrees in Marketing, as well as Graphic Design. Samantha joined the staff in June 2018. Samantha enjoys photography, reading and interior design.
Advertising and promotions graphics is Sherry’s specialty. She is the graphic artist who designs and creates the ads in the Harrison Times and Newton County Times. Sherry designs the covers on our special sections as well as the many house ads published. She has worked in the Phillips Media Group Composing Department since 2008. In her spare time she likes to read and is a nature lover.
Dane is the Circulation Manager for the Harrison Times, Newton County Times and the West Plains Daily Quill. He oversees the distribution and delivery of the newspapers as well as many of the back office subscription duties. Dane joined the Harrison Times staff in April of 2013 and has worked for several of our current and previous publications in Ark., Mo. and Okla.
Jordan has been with Ozarks Printing since 2016 and is in charge of getting the preprints inserted into every newspaper when they come off the press as well as getting them labeled and sorted for our home delivery and postal customers. In his spare time, Jordan likes to fish and play guitar.
