MT JUDEA — The sixth annual Mt. Judea Heritage Day festival will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, May 4, at the Mt. Judea School campus. Again this year there will be a variety of things for people to see and do including a quilt show, horseshoe tournament, Grandma's Kitchen, entertainment, food, including chocolate gravy, a pie contest, kids games and craft demonstrations. Several school groups will be having food booths.
The horseshoe contest is the same as last year, starting at 11 a.m. A T-shirt is included with preregistration. There will be cash prizes. T-shirts are limited to the first 12 teams, enter by calling (870) 434 5178, or mail $20 per team with the team information, name and contact number, to HC 32, Box 5, Mt. Judea, AR 72655.
There will be a selfie contest in conjunction with the celebration.Selfies must have been taken in 2019. A list of the 40 selfies can be picked up at the school, the Mercantile, Ozark Outdoor Sports and Farm Supply, Norton's Country Store and the Lighthouse Cafe.
Bring your selfies to Jill Wilborn and have her check them off the list. A $20 prize will go to the person who gets the most, if there is a tie there will be a drawing for $20. There is a small prize for everyone who shows at least one selfie, and prizes for the top nine winners.
