touch a truck-2

Aaron Bueg and daughter Amélie had a good time checking out heavy road equipment last year at the Senior Center's 2018 Touch-A-Truck event. This year’s event will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at the BCSA&WC, located at 1515 Rock Springs Road in Harrison.

The Boone County Senior Activity and Wellness Center (BCSA&WC) is sponsoring a fun/fundraising Touch-A-Truck event that will offer families an opportunity to look at, climb into, and honk the horns/sirens, etc. of the vehicles that make our world go more smoothly, and to express appreciation those people who provide everyday services — EMTs, police, firemen/women, mail carriers, school bus drivers, those that pick up trash each week and many more of our "Everyday Heros."

This year will mark the center’s third year to host the Touch-A-Truck event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Boone County Senior Center, 1516 Rock Springs Road in Harrison.

At the event donations will be taken for the Meals on Wheels program. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person.

Proceeds will help the Meals on Wheels truck and/or support the Meals on Wheels program and other vital services for senior adults offered through the BCSA&WC.

Refreshments will be available on site as well as the ever-popular Golf Ball Drop.
