Hello Art Friends, the Northark Painting class has moved to daytime for spring semester. The class will be offered Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 - 3:45 p.m., and instructors will work it out to be available till 5 p.m. on one of the days so students can attend one longer class, instead of the two shorter classes. There is a virtual option for attending the class and students over 60 receive a tuition waiver. There is a choice to take the class as a non-degree seeking student. Taking the class can be a fun way to make art in community and further individual skills. If you have any questions, or need help signing up, email cdollard@northark.edu . The attorney for Jacob William Gentry-Cape, who is accused of firing a handgun at a federal building last November, filed a petition requesting a fitness to proceed examination for his client. The request was filed as the attorney, Deputy Public Defender Dan Hancock, has good cause to believe that there is a reasonable suspicion that Gentry-Cape is not fit to proceed to trial. The court approved the petition and Judge John Putnam signed the Order for Fitness Proceed Exam last month. The exam will be conducted under the direction of the Director of the Division of Behavioral Health Services of the Department of Human Services. more
