YELLVILLE — Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans said a man and woman were arrested last Friday on drug and weapons charges.

Danny Dockter, 49, and Dawn Herrick, 38, both of Pyatt, were arrested after an investigation that dates back several months.

Evans said investigators made controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Dockter at his residence in the probe that began in August 2019.

Marion County deputies and officers with the 14th Judicial Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Dockter’s Pyatt home Monday, Evans said. Herrick was present at the time and both were taken into custody.

Dockter faces charges of three counts of delivery of meth, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Herrick faces similar charges, as well as a hold for another unspecified agency, records show.

Dockter’s bond was set at $40,000, while Herrick’s was set at $20,000. Records show both were still being held Tuesday afternoon in the Marion County Jail.
