Arkansas State Police say a Berryville man was killed and three people from Harrison injured in a two-vehicle, head-on crash about 9:30 Saturday night north of Berryville.

CARROLL COUNTY — Arkansas State Police say a Berryville man was killed and three people from Harrison injured in a two-vehicle, head-on crash about 9:30 Saturday night north of Berryville.

According to a report by ASP Cpl. W.K. Trevathan, Darold L. Johnson, 74, of Berryville was northbound on Highway 221 about seven miles north of Berryville in a 2001 Chevrolet.

Mason Binam, 24, of Harrison was southbound in a 1998 Chevrolet with two passengers, both of whom were minors from Harrison whose names and ages weren’t released, the report said.

The report said Johnson’s vehicle crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the Binam Vehicle.

Johnson was killed in the crash, the report said, while Binam and the two minors were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for treatment of injuries, the report said.

The report also said the weather was clear and the roadway dry at the time of the crash.
