Service: 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with interment at Summers Cemetery; Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the funeral home.

Carl E. Hudson, age 96, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, July 1 (2018) at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

He was born Jan. 30, 1922, in Harrison, the son of Coy B. and Ruby (Murray) Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Thelma Jean (Fowler) Hudson; and his daughter, Sheryl (Hudson) Chaney.

Carl was a lifelong charter member of Northvale Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years. He was a POW survivor of World War II, 8th Air Force 368 Bomb Squad receiving many merit awards. He was a cattle and dairy farmer; worked at Turney Wood Products as a truck driver and church pew installer around the nation; and retired as a homebuilder, developer, and a realtor at Hudson Realty.

Carl was a proud member of the Old Time Goblins and inductee to the Golden Goblin Hall of Fame. He was loved and will be missed by many other family and friends.

Carl is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Gail (Jackson) Hudson; son-in-law, Richard Chaney; five grandchildren, Beth MacNeill, Angela Sullins, Sidney Messick, Courtney Goodson and Taylor Hudson; nine great-grandchildren, Chance MacNeill, Caden MacNeill, Jake Sullins, Hailey Brumfield, Colton Messick, Rylan Messick, Emma Kate Henry, Lily Henry, Harrison Henry and Richard Chaney; and a host of dear friends and other family.

Visitation is 1 hour prior to the service at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Brother Robert Shaddox officiating.

Interment is in Summers Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers are Nancy McGarrah, Carl Campbell, Wes Hudson, Ralph Gene Hudson, Dr. Roy Lee and Richard Chaney.

Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Slape, Dr. Tom Hoberock, Dr. Joe Melton, Old Time Goblins, Cattlemen Livestock Auction and Hudson Realty; with special appreciation to Nancy McGarrah, his caregivers, Brenda Irvin and Donna Crow, HiltonWest and members of Northvale Baptist Church.
