Donna “Wendy” Davis, 53, of Harrison, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 30 (2019).

She was born April 22, 1966, in Oklahoma to Donald and Imogene (Blackburn) Davis.

She devoted her life to child welfare and for over a decade investigated child abuse in Arkansas. Wendy was an All-Star in everything she did from basketball in high school, college and even in adult league softball. She liked to spend time with her friends and she enjoyed the ID channel.

Wendy enjoyed naps on the weekends and keeping up with her kids and she loved to make people laugh. You could always find a witty post on her Facebook.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, and her sister-in-life, Charlotte Clark.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Young, of Harrison, and Kelsey Young, of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Chip Davis and his wife Kelly, of Dardanelle, and Bobby Davis, of Heber Springs; a sister, Brenda Rolan, of Paoli, Oklahoma; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Also surviving her are her loyal dogs, Max and Bandit, and a “granddad” Benson.

She will also be missed by her many DHS/DCFS family members.
