Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with interment at Omaha Methodist Church; Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the funeral home. 

Frances “Darlene” (Tate) Dees, of Omaha, passed from this life and entered into the arms of her loving Savior on Sunday, July 8 (2018) at the age of 76.

She was born May 19, 1942, in Boone County, the daughter of Harvey and Delphia (Mattox) Tate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; a brother, Buck; and an infant sister, Naomi.

Darlene was united in marriage to David Dees on Jan. 28, 1965. She was a cosmetologist from the time she graduated high school until she retired in 2016. Darlene enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her family.

Darlene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Scott Edwards, of Omaha; her son, Bruce Dees, of Omaha; her step-daughter and her husband, Leigh Ann and Jerry Norvell, of Harrison; and four grandchildren, Logan Edwards, Landon Edwards, Leeann Dowdle and husband Chris, and Chris Norvell.

She is also survived by her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Eddie Wallis of Harrison, Doris and Lanny Fausett of Omaha, and Thelma Tate of Omaha; her brother, Rocky Tate, of Omaha; her sister-in-law, Jacque Tate, of Omaha; her “partner in crime” and yard sale companion, cousin Kaye David, of Ridgedale, Missouri; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her and will miss her.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Pastor Gene France officiating.

Interment is in Omaha Methodist Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Calvin Dees, Doug Dodson, Morgan Fausett, Tim Moore, Cody Tate and Jason Wallis.
