Kenneth Sutton, age 97, of Harrison, passed away Monday, June 17 (2019) at his residence.
He was born April 11, 1922, the son of Ross Joshua and Lillian (Hildebrand) Sutton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alyce Sutton; three brothers, Ross Jr., Everett and William; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Kenneth served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 and was a World War II veteran. He loved hunting, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, and watching baseball. He worked for the railroad for 23 and half years before retiring.
Kenneth is survived by his sons, Michael Sutton, of Dodge City, Kansas, and Kenneth “Bud” Sutton Jr., of Roslyn, Washington; his daughters, Mary Jane Pieper, of Gretna, Virginia, Tamara Dean, of Topeka, Kansas, Eileen Hildebrant, of Califon, New Jersey, and Christine Heeke, of Cocoa, Florida; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Honorary pallbearers are Benjamin Sutton, James Gooding, Keith Pieper, Cole Dalton, Brady Brown and Kody Brown.
