Service: 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, with burial at Little Buffalo Cemetery; Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the funeral home in Jasper.

Lena Mae Villines, age 55, of Compton, passed away Wednesday, May 15 (2019) at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri, after a long battle with cancer.

The daughter of Leslie and Pauline (Jenkins) Daniels was born March 14, 1964, in Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Daniels; her father-in-law, Lester Villines; her stepdaughter, Dianna Smith; and her favorite uncle, Bob Watts.

Lena was president of the Newton County Round Up Club. She was also involved in 4-H and Team Leader of the Buckles and Spurs. She enjoyed riding horses, cooking, camping, hunting and fishing.

She enjoyed being outdoors. She liked to weed eat and bush hog. She also loved to garden and plant flowers. She especially loved her roses.

Lena was a member of the Little Buffalo Church. She taught her Sunday School class and was the pianist and song leader at church. She would also sing at the Ponca Historic Church once a month. She was a loving person and a mother to many. 

She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn Villines, of Compton; her son, Corby Daniels Villines, of Compton; her mother, Pauline Daniels, of Harrison; her mother-in-law, Willadean Villines, of Compton; her stepchildren, Tammy Ply (Wes), Tavis Villines and Evan Villines, all of Harrison, and Zachary Villines, of Vendor; her brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Melissa and their daughter, Caysi Daniels, of Harrison; eight step-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, with the Rev. Billy Paul Matlock, the Rev. Nathan Daniels, the Rev. Waylon Villines, and the Rev. Stanton Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Little Buffalo Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the funeral home in Jasper.

Pallbearers will be James Wilson, Lloyd Ford, Robert Cain, Gene Clagett, Glenn Statler and Zachary Villines.

Honorary pallbearers are the Rev. Frank Whiteside, the Rev. Gerry Bryant, the Rev. Bobby Young, the Rev. Barnie Hickman, Cletus Wilson, Mark Price, Steve Henderson, all members of the Little Buffalo Church and Sunday School, nursing staff of NARMC and Dr. Jay Beck and staff of Highlands Oncology Group.
