Service: Graveside at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Love Cemetery, St. Joe; visitation is open at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Myrtle L. Grinder, 84, of St. Joe, died Saturday, April 12 (2014) at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, Harrison.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Love Cemetery, St. Joe, with the Rev. James D. Smithson officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Visitation will be open at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The daughter of Major McKinnely and Pearl (Wheeler) Wyatt was born May 18, 1929, at Searcy County. Myrtle enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, rock collecting, gardening, and most of all, “Hugs.” She prepared Sunday dinner for anyone who dropped in. Myrtle was an angel on earth and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Troy and Gene Wyatt; and two sisters, Fay Watts and Mildred Casey.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Haskell Grinder, of Apple Ridge Nursing Home, Harrison; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Grinder, of St. Joe, and Rick and Tracey Grinder, of St. Joe; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Gary Millsap, of St. Joe, and Sue and Bobby Combs, of Bergman; sisters, Mary Jo Ussery, of Greenbrier, and Unice Lucy Ramey, of St. Joe; brothers, Elmer Wyatt, of St. Joe, and Donald Wyatt, of St. Joe; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
