Sam Villines was the most beloved, third child of Bill Joe and Bonnie (Martin) Villines. He was born Feb. 3, 1971 on their 20th anniversary in Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, W. C. and Erta (Jones) Villines of Harrison and Bill and Lotus (McLean) Martin of Pyatt.

Sam is survived by his partner, Linda Lee. He has a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Villines of Lead Hill; one brother, Steve Villines of Pyatt; and one sister, Mary Ann Carr of Harrison.

Sam was an avid hunter and fisherman. This time of year he roamed the hills and valleys looking for turkeys and morel mushrooms. Coon dogs and mule riding were a few of his hobbies along with collecting guns and knives. Sam lived on his family’s farm and liked to have a good time. He liked talking to people of all ages.

The last month Sam had been sick he was comforted by the giving souls of Hospice House. Jesus came to take Sam home on Tuesday, April 9 (2019) on the wings of a beautiful prayer. He was well loved by his family and friends. We shall sorely miss him.
