Recently, Flippin High School students won awards and were elected to state offices at the Arkansas Young Artist Association State Competition and Convention.

Winning top honors were Deanna Willis, second place in ceramics non functional; Avery Garst, second in tempera abstract/non objective; Shannon Smith received honorable mention in onsite mixed media; Brenna Metts received third for his colored pencil abstract /non objective and Karissa Herron received second place in onsite pencil/graphite.

Flippin High School students who were elected as state officers for the upcoming year for the Arkansas Young Artist Association were Erika Stoner, state president, Avery Garst, state treasurer; and Karissa Herron, state corresponding secretary, Gabby White, state first vice president.
