Leotta Hankins and I visited with our cousin, Maxine (Criner) Hicks one day last week. Maxine’s mother and our mother were sisters. Maxine has several pictures of her family
displayed in her home. It was a pleasure to view the pictures and reminisce.
We had quite a stir in Batavia last Friday afternoon. A car left the road and ran straight into Boyce Hankins’ shop coming to a halt inside the shop. Fortunately Boyce had left for the day. Otherwise worse things could have happened.
Pastor Rachel Collie; Conner and Carson Collie; Sister Collie's mother, Anna Hampton and niece, Rianna Hampton, both of Dover; and Conner's friend, Kole McGhee, also of Dover, recently traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, to watch the Arkansas Razorback Baseball Team play in the College World Series. They had a great time and are thankful for traveling mercies.
Batavia Assembly of God youth pastors, Clayton and Brenna Journagan were in Little Rock Monday and Tuesday at the Arkansas Assemblies of God District Office. The couple were meeting the the Arkansas District Presbytery interviewing for their ministerial credentials. The interview process is the last step before obtaining ministerial credentials from the General Council of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri. Lead Pastor, Phillip Collie is thankful the Journagans are at Batavia and appreciate their hard work for the youth.
Batavia Assembly of God will be having a church wide work day Saturday, June 22. The day will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and then work will begin on various projects around the campus clean and fix up.
We appreciate everyone who showed up to help.
