Happy birthday, Joe Gibson. Janis and Joe spent a wonderful vacation repositioning on a transatlantic cruise of 15 days. Six days on the ocean, with calm waters. Their ports-of-call were in the Azores, Madeira, and Spain. They saw beautiful flowers, intriguing architecture, and wonderful vistas. They say it was a fascinating trip.

Lead Hill School Library is open to the community every Thursday, June-July 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Storytime with Ms. Curtis at 10:15. Come in for books, internet access, storytime and air-conditioning. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
On Saturday, June 15 at 3 p.m. Harvest International Ministries, HIM, will present the Ultimate BBQ at Lead Hill City Park. There’s a $500 cash prize for the best barbecue. Eight pounds of meat is the entry fee to compete to win. There will be free food, games, a bouncy house, live music and more. The Markle Waggoner Wagoner Family Reunion takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Diamond City Community Center. Potluck lunch. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Bring your favorite food, old photos, musical instruments and join in the fun.
Lead Hill “All School Classes Reunion” takes place Saturday July 6 starting at 2 p.m. in the new gym lobby. All alumni are welcome.
Saturday, June 15, the Diamond City Lakeside Resort will present music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, rock and some blues with the Nickel Opera Band and special guest Derek Close. Starts at 6 p.m. with a pulled pork dinner and music at 7 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $12 at Katie's Cafe and $15 at the door. Free hot dogs for the kiddies. Bring the family and honor dad.
Lead Hill Middle School students have achieved “All Green” for the year. “All Green" means that these students have mastered all courses by completing all projects and content assessments and maintained A-B grades. They have worked hard to achieve this status.
