12:17 a.m. — An officer on a traffic stop arrested a 30-year-old man on a warrant for probation violation with bond set at $7,100 cash only. He was later taken to the Boone County Jail for incarceration.
12:25 a.m. — A caller reported a possible disturbance at an address on North Liberty. Officers arrested a 30-year-old man for third-degree domestic battery with bond set at $1,710, cash only for the first 12 hours. He was later taken to the Boone County Jail for incarceration.
12:40 a.m. — A caller reported a suspicious male subject talking to himself and acting oddly outside the White Oak Station on the Bypass. An officer said the subject was gone when he checked the area.
2:30 a.m. — A woman called to report her vehicle missing from her residence on North 2nd Street. A formal complaint was filed for unauthorized use of a vehicle and officers were asked to watch for it.
2:36 a.m. — A officer on patrol logged a 36-year-old man sitting in a vehicle parked outside the old junior high.
2:59 a.m. — An officer on patrol advised he’d be checking a vehicle with the trunk open on Woodland Drive. The owner was notified that his property was unsecured.
3:37 a.m. — An employee at Harrison Retirement Center report some residents were outside smoking when they saw a panther scale a tree nearby. An officer advised them to keep residents inside in case there was a large cat in the area, but he later said the call was unfounded.
5:39 a.m. — A woman called to report her boyfriend was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at an address on North Chestnut. An officer said the 24-year-old man had been angry at a friend, but he agreed to go to bed and sleep it off.
8:22 a.m. — An officer on a traffic stop cited a 17-year-old boy into juvenile court for possession of controlled substance. He was later released to his father.

9:35 a.m. — A woman called to report her son had taken her vehicle without permission, but had returned it to her residence. An officer responded and arrested the 41-year-old man on a warrant for probation violation with bond set at $2,880 cash only. He was eventually allowed to post professional bond because the Boone County Jail was full.
11:59 a.m. — A man called to talk to an officer about a child custody problem. He was advised of the proper steps to take.
12:33 p.m. — A caller reported a male subject yelling and screaming on the parking lot at the Ranch House Plaza. A few minutes later, another caller reported the male subject assaulted a woman and left on foot northbound. An officer said it had been a verbal disturbance between the woman and her son, but nothing physical had happened. The officer also located the male subject, whose parents arrived on scene. They all agreed to go home.
1:09 p.m. — A woman called to report a snake in her yard on West Newman and she wasn’t sure if it was venomous or not. An officer said the snake had slithered away when he arrived, but it didn’t appear to be poisonous based on the woman’s description. She was told to call back if it showed up again.
1:39 p.m. — A reckless, possibly intoxicated driver was reported eastbound on Industrial Park Road from Highway 397. An officer located the driver, who didn’t appear to be intoxicated and denied driving recklessly.
2:45 p.m. — A woman called to report her runaway juvenile daughter was possibly in the Harrison area. An officer said the girl’s location on Snap Map showed to be in Western Grove, so the caller was referred to Newton County authorities.
3:53 p.m. — An officer on patrol advised he’d be out with a state trooper on a traffic stop. Assist completed.
4:12 p.m. — A woman called to report her ex-husband, against whom she held a protection order, had been contacting her. An officer determined the man hadn’t been served with the protection order at the time and the woman declined to pursue charges anyway.
4:42 p.m. — A caller reported a male subject with some fishing poles, a hatchet and a knife was in the NARMC ICU waiting area and acting irate. An officer said the 33-year-old man agreed to leave the property.
6:11 p.m. — A woman called to report her niece’s former employer was refusing to let her have her check until the end of the pay period. She was advised it was a civil matter.
7:04 p.m. — A woman called to talk to an officer about property rights when a couple splits up. Information given.
7:06 p.m. — Newton County authorities contacted the HPD for warrant confirmation on a 24-year-old man for failure to appear in court on no proof of insurance. The warrant was confirmed valid and he was later released after posting $505 professional bond.
7:09 p.m. — A reckless driver was reported northbound on Main Street from Spruce. An officer stopped the vehicle and arrested a 20-year-old male subject for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia with bond set at $1,420. He was later released on a signature bond.
7:39 p.m. — A caller reported two female subjects, possibly under the influence of a controlled substance, sitting on the steps of Bible Mission Church on East Prospect. An officer said the women, ages 46 and 48, were leaving the area to another location.
9:24 p.m. — A woman called to report her daughter left a cell phone in a bathroom at Murphy USA and she believed a male subject who went in after her took it. A formal complaint was filed for lost or stolen property.
