12:09 a.m. — A caller reported a group of people making a lot of noise on the parking lot outside the old junior high. An officer said the subjects agreed to move along.
5:25 a.m. — A woman called to report her water heater ruptured and was flooding her house on Dawson Drive. On-call Water Department personnel were notified.
5:32 a.m. — A Drug Task Force officer requested DHS at an address on Mountain View Drive after an arrest was made. DHS was notified.
7:03 a.m. — A woman went to the HPD to report a laptop computer stolen from her vehicle while it was parked overnight on Circle Drive. She went back to the HPD later with the serial number to file a formal complaint.
7:56 a.m. — A male subject called to report someone entered his vehicle and took some small items wile it was parked on Teresa. He declined a formal complaint, but extra patrol was issued.
9:10 a.m. — An employee at Andy Yeager Motors reported wheels stolen from a vehicle on the lot overnight. A formal complaint was filed.
9:51 a.m. — A woman requested extra patrol on West Stephenson because she thought someone was breaking into her house and drugging her food.
11:16 a.m. — A woman went to the HPD to talk to an officer about getting child support payments to her son’s ex-wife. She was advised of the proper steps to take.
11:17 a.m. — A man requested extra patrol on Maplewood Road after someone syphoned fuel from his vehicle.
12:17 p.m. — A male subject called to talk to an officer about storage units with the fewest burglaries reported. Information given.
12:38 p.m. — A female subject went to the HPD to talk to an officer about harassment. The officer took her statement for a formal complaint.
1:05 p.m. — A caller reported two female subjects in wheelchairs creating a disturbance at Andy Yeager Motors on East Ridge. The two women, ages 48 and 66, were issued warnings for criminal trespass and agreed to leave the business.
1:37 p.m. — A caller reported two subjects trying to break into the Northside Church of Christ. An officer responded, but said the call was unfounded after he spoke to someone on scene.
1:52 p.m. — An officer on patrol advised he’d be out with a female subject on North Sycamore. The 66-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on obstruction governmental operations with bond set at $545. She was later released on a signature bond and taken to NARMC after complaining her arms were hurt during the arrest.
2:26 p.m. — A man called to report his ex-wife keyed his car at his residence on bunker Road. He was referred to the BCSO due to the address being outside the city limits.
3:20 p.m. — An officer advised he’d be out at a residence on South Ash attempting to serve subpoenas for Newton County authorities, but the subject wasn’t present at the time.
4:14 p.m. — A female subject went to the HPD to report another female subject stole her property sometime the previous month. A formal complaint was filed.
5:07 p.m. — A woman who was at Minnie Harris Park called to report she wasn’t able to find her husband and young son at the park. An officer didn’t located them either.
6:12 p.m. — NARMC requested an officer at an address on Natchez Trace to help with a combative patient. Assist completed.
6:34 p.m. — A caller reported two dogs running loose on Choctaw. Dispatch made contact with the owner from a previous call and he said he was out looking for the animals.
6:39 p.m. — An officer on patrol logged a suspicious 21-year-old male subject walking at Pine and Stephenson.
6:51 p.m. — A caller reported a male subject walking in the northbound lane of the Bypass north of Kum & Go. An officer spoke to the 35-year-old man who appeared to have been beaten up. The man said he had been “jumped” out in the county and was on his way to the BCSO to report the incident.
6:55 p.m. — An employee at Dollar General on West Rush reported a suspected shoplifter in the store. An officer said the 22-year-old male subject was issued a criminal trespass warning for the store, but he was also taken to the BCSO on an arrest warrant out of that jurisdiction.
7:11 p.m. — A Walmart employee reported finding a possible controlled substance at the store. An officer took possession of the substance.
7:21 p.m. — A caller reported hearing a possible gunshot on North Maple. An officer spoke with some other subjects in the area who reported hearing the same thing, but he didn’t locate a source.
10:01 p.m. — A male subject went to the HPD to report property stolen from his unsecured vehicle while it was parked on Cardinal. He declined a formal complaint, but asked the information be noted.
10:12 p.m. — A caller reported a man and woman arguing for about two hours outside a residence on South Ash. An officer said the female subject was paranoid after she was shocked while taking a bath, but she said she was fine and didn’t want to leave the residence.
10:48 p.m. — An alarm company reported an alarm at Express Liquor. An officer said the front door was open, but there was no sign of forced entry. The officer later said an unknown subject went in the store and stole liquor. A formal complaint was filed.
