SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—Evangel University names Andy Forman as the institution’s first director of worship experience. Beginning on August 5, Forman will oversee worship teams and provide music direction for EU’s chapel services and special events on campus. more

Recently, Miss Emma Cook, age 14 from Flippin High School, was awarded First place in the 2024 Arkansas Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest held by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.  Her artwork is representing Arkansas in the National Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest held during the 125th VFW National Convention currently being held in Louisville, Kentucky. more

On Saturday, August 24, Zach Williams will headline the 50th Anniversary of North Arkansas College banquet and concert presented by Explore Harrison. The VIP banquet will feature stellar food, comments from Zach Williams, a 50th celebration followed by a short trip to campus to enjoy the concert. Dress is “concert casual”. JASPER — The Jasper School District Board of Education met in regular session Tuesday, July 23, rescheduled from July 15, and took action on several items in preparation for the first day of school on Aug. 14. That included dealing with school personnel assignments. more
MT. JUDEA — The Deer/Mt. Judea School District Board of Education held its regular meeting Monday, July 22, and quickly took care of some routine preparations for the coming start of the new school year. First day of class is Aug. 12. Most of the evening's conversation was on school security and the impact social media has on students. more
